2	c	Butter
2	c	White sugar
2	ts	Water; hot
2	ts	Vanilla
1	pk	12-oz. chocolate chips
4		Eggs; beaten
5	c	Flour
2	c	Brown sugar
2	ts	Baking soda
	ds	Salt

Cream butter and sugar; add beaten eggs. Dissolve baking soda in hot water. Mix alternately w/flour sifted w/salt. Add chocolate chips. Flavor w/vanilla; stir well. Drop by tspnfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 mins. at 375~.
